The Imperial Upholstered Scroll Bed Frame brings the familiar curves of a traditional sleigh bed into a fully upholstered design. Both the headboard and footboard roll outwards to create a distinctive scroll shape, giving the bed an elegant profile from the side. The rounded ends are the main feature, making Imperial an attractive alternative to straight rectangular bed frames.
The featured Beige Naple upholstery gives Imperial a warm, understated finish that suits cream bedding, wooden furniture and softly coloured bedroom walls. Its padded surfaces follow the curved outline of the frame, allowing the shape itself to stand out without diamond buttons, mirrored borders or complicated stitching. If beige isn't the right match for your room, you can explore other fabrics and colours to create a different finish.
Handmade to order in the UK, Imperial uses a reinforced timber frame and comes in five standard bed sizes. Customers can personalise the upholstery, headboard height and base configuration, with optional ottoman storage available for keeping spare bedding out of sight. Part of the Essex Luxe custom made beds UK collection, Imperial offers the flexibility of bespoke bed frames while retaining the classic character of an upholstered sleigh bed.
Beautifully Scrolled Ends: The outward-curving headboard and footboard create Imperial's signature sleigh silhouette, giving the bed a distinctive appearance from different angles.
Soft Beige Naple Upholstery: The featured fabric brings warmth to the design and works naturally with neutral bedroom colours, patterned cushions and wooden bedside furniture.
Optional Under-Bed Storage: Choose an available ottoman base if you want concealed space for spare duvets, blankets and other bedroom essentials.
Personalised to Your Bedroom: Select your preferred size, upholstery colour, headboard height and available leg finish to suit your room and existing furniture.

All Essex Luxe beds are built to standard UK mattress sizes, so they fit most mattresses sold in the UK.
Headboard size is shown as Height × Width. Most of our upholstered headboards are 54 inches high; this product's exact height is in the Dimensions table above. Taller headboards may be available depending on the design.
Frame width and length depend on the size you choose. Check the Dimensions table for precise measurements. All beds follow UK-standard mattress sizing.
Feet height is added according to your choice.
Every Essex Luxe footboard is 18 inches plus feet, whatever the bed size or base type.
